Jim is a go getter. He is self motivated, not one to sit back and let others do all the work. He is a team player, motivated, and a self-starter. He is always willing to take on new challenges and handles pressure situations in a professional manner.

– David Cottrell, Technical Delivery Manager, Electronic Data Systems, manged Jim at EDS

For the last 6 years I was able to work with Jim as a peer on the Windows team here at EDS. His expertise in the Windows and IIS areas were crucial in getting new projects up and running as well as keeping existing projects on track. I had to call on him many times to assist with issues outside my skill set and he always came through with delivery of what we needed. I learned many things from Jim that help me to this day. His dedication to making the customer happy is what will make him a valuable asset to any organization.

– Kyle Jones, Infrastructure Analyst, Wintel/EDS, worked directly with Jim at EDS, an HP Company

– Charles Hight, Team Manager, Sabre Holdings, managed Jim at EDS, an HP Company

Jim March and I worked together at EDS for many years. Jim always did an excellent job in his position and was an asset to our team and organization. He was always exceptional in taking on projects, on-call problems and jumping in to work with and assist fellow engineers anytime of day or night. He has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is extremely organized, and is very proactive. He is able to effectly multi-task to ensure that all projects are completed in a cost effective, efficient, and timely manner.

Jim was always willing to offer his assistance and had an excellent rapport with his team, his clients and customers. Jim would be an asset to any employer and I recommend him for any career opportunity he chooses to pursue.

– Bill Isgrigg, Systems Engineer, EDS, worked directly with Jim at EDS, an HP Company

I worked with Jim both directly and indirectly for many years. Most recently at EDS/HP we were in separate organizations, yet on many occasions I still went to Jim for help and information because I knew from past experience he was always willing to help, and more importantly his reasoning and analytical problem solving skills were as solid as they come. I know both from my own direct working relationship with him, and through conversations with his leaders/coworkers/clients, that in most everything he undertook, he left his mark as an excellent engineer/technician, decision maker, communicator, mentor, and teammate. He also has an exceptional track record for delivering on-target and with a high degree of customer satisfaction.
He has leading edge technical skills, along with the soft skills and business savvy we all look for when seeking out top performers. If I were starting my own business and he was available, I would either hire him or make sure my competition didn’t. I highly recommend him.

– J. Todd Elston, Technical Delivery Manager, EDS, an HP Company, worked with Jim at EDS, an HP Company

Jim was an essential member of our team. He brought more than the skill it took to complete his work with an expert set of technical skills and a willingness to help. He is able to work under extreme pressure while maintaining a focused approach to the real issues. On many occasions Jim took the time to assist others, including myself, with complex and time consuming issues when he had critical deadlines of his own. I easily recommend Jim March as he would be an asset to any organization.

– Mark Adair, Infrastructure Analyst, EDS, worked directly with Jim at EDS, an HP Company

Jim has a lot of experience with designing, installing and supporting Microsoft Windows based server environments especially in the Web services area he has vast knowledge. He had supported very critical systems and applications for multiple clients. He is always willing to take on the challenging projects and go the extra mile to see it to success. I wish him all the success in his future endeavors.

– Prashant Gupta, Infrastructure Specialist, EDS, worked directly with Jim at EDS

Jim did excellent work balancing the demands of our high profile project with the overall stressful workload of the company as a whole. A tough job, and he did it well.

– Keith Stone, Senior Information Specialist, EDS Inc., worked with Jim at EDS, an HP Company

Jim is one of the best Engineers I have ever had the pleasure to work with. He continuously goes above and beyond, he is proactive, he is thorough, and his work is great. Jim is one of the Engineers you can put in front of the customer. He is professional and is able to explain complicated infrastructure issues on a level the customer can understand. I know that every project Jim works on with be completed timely and with no issues.

– Gay Polovich, System Manager, EDS, managed Jim indirectly at EDS

This was an email sent to my managers:

From: “Polovich, Gay”
To: “Alban, Tess”, “Cottrell, David”
Subject: eServices - Thank you
Tess and David,

I would like to take an opportunity to brag about Jim March. We have been struggling with Sabre eServices server consolidation for quite some time now. We have had one server die, three times, which has generated an enormous amount of extra work along with delays and frustration.

In addition, we have had numerous ‘issues’ that shouldn’t have happened and took too much time to resolve. We have also made changes to the servers more than once that caused the customer not to be able to access the servers for testing. The customer was beyond frustrated with EDS and to a point of considering escalation on their side. At the customer’s request, we switched Engineers.

Jim March stepped into this ugly, very complex, system late in the afternoon on 6/13. By 11:00 am on 6/14, Jim had fixed every single issue which the customer had been complaining. Jim had restored their access to the servers, fixed the load balancing, fixed the FTP issue, done a little housekeeping along the way, contacted the customer, confirmed they could access the boxes, and documented everything he had changed. All of this in one morning? I can’t imagine what the guy can do in a full day!

After being the liaison between a frustrated customer and the project team, I cannot begin to tell you how refreshing this is to talk to the customer now. They absolutely think Jim walks on water.

Please accept my appreciation for bringing Jim into this project.

Another email recommendation:

From: “Davis, Trey”
Subject: Betelgeuse - A job well done!
Jim,

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for your efforts related to the recovery of Betelgeuse. Your “scrappy” attitude (heralded by the CEO of Sabre as a critical business attitude that he wants from EDS) was so refreshing. When I asked you “what makes you think your approach will work?” your confidence was contagious. I believe that your attitude was able to turn the entire Betelgeuse experience from a nightmare into a positive encounter. The customer expects hardware to fail, the only question is how we handle the problem when it does, and you made all the difference!

Jim, as we discussed, the only difference in arrogance and confidence is the ability to delivery on what you promise!

Your CONFIDENCE won the day!

You delivered exactly as promised and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your efforts!

Thank you again for the time, energy and effort you gave to making this recovery successful!

I look forward to working with you in the future!

Kind Regards,
Trey Davis
